Train for a rewarding new career as a pharmacy technician in as little as 6 months! In this online, live instruction program, class time is engaging, and students are encouraged to actively participate and interact with the instructor and other students. Students will learn to assist the pharmacist in mixing prescriptions, maintaining patient records, purchasing and inventory management, billing, and reimbursement, and more. Topics include pharmacology for technicians, pharmacy law and regulations, sterile and non-sterile compounding, quality assurance, and medication safety. Included in the program is a 120-hour externship where the student will receive hands-on training in a local pharmacy under the direction of a pharmacist. This training meets the training requirements of the California Board of Pharmacy and qualifies students to apply for their California pharmacy technician license under Title 6 California Code of Regulation section1793 6(c).
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS: Payment Plan Option: $899 Payable to SAC Community Education Program (Non-refundable deposit) $1601 Payable to Career Training Solutions in five (5) monthly payments of $320.20. Materials: Textbook $165 + tax and shipping paid to Paradigm Solutions. High School Diploma or equivalent Age: 18+. Access to a computer with internet access/camera/microphone for online classes.
